BIAS BINDING SERIES - Part 2 - What size to cut fabric strips for single fold bias binding?

Welcome to part two of my bias binding series! Here you will learn how wide to cut bias strips for different widths of binding.

The easy rule to follow with single fold binding is to cut your fabric strips twice the width you want the binding to be.

For example, if you want one inch binding - cut your strips two inches wide.

If you want 0.5 inch binding - cut your strips one inch wide.

If you want 0.75 inch binding - cut your strips 1.5 inches wide.

And so on....
